About Freemasonry

What is it like being a Freemason
Freemasonry means different things to each of its members.  To some it is about making new friends and acquaintances, while to others it is about being able to help others through charity and making a contribution to family and society.

What is Freemasonry
Freemasonry is a society of men who are each concerned with moral and spiritual values. It is one of the oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations.

How to join Freemasonry
In Freemasonry there is a strange saying of "Ask one to be one" which roughly translates that a Freemason will traditionally never ask you to join, but will leave it up to you to make that first step.  Once you've made that step then they'll happily talk to you about the many great aspects of Freemasonry

First there is a need to find a Lodge that suits you, which will depend on where and when you could attend and what you'd like to get out of it - Lodges meet on different days, different locations and with different goals or aims.  If you are interested in joining Freemasonry, then please click on the Interested in Joining Freemasonry link below, as Horton Lodge would love to help you start your journey.
